After years of television work I wanted to do something different. My friend Martin Fondse and I developed a plan for a live show with an orchestra and lots of animation. I created a silly trailer to get funding, actually managing to generate a significant part of the budget. However, the project was rather big, arty-farty and vague actually - we weren't sure what we were doing really - so I asked Martin to help me do a simple short film first. That became Vent.
