Lazy DOg, Chief, 3D model

To speed up the hand drawn animation, I create simple 3D models of each character to pose and then trace. Only key poses. This helps to get difficult perspective right quickly, even fish eye lens shots become relatively simple to do. This clip has no audio. Nice huh? Not even music.

Pecker is back in India, together with a selection of Dutch short films. Thanks to Cinekid Festival.

An illumation is an animated illustration. I make these illumations mainly for the internet, e-books, banners, digital magazines etc. in collaboration with illustrator www.vijselaarensixma.nl. This is a collection of some illumations we did in 2011 and 1012. They are really quite fun!

I was invited by the International Children’s Film Festival India to promote my short film Pecker. We also showed our Under The Apple Tree project. We had an amazing time and hope to see you all again!

Short, sweet ‘n screwy. An ox and a bird. Can’t live with, can’t live without. One of four selected films from the animated series Ultra Short. This film played in seventy Pathé cinema’s as a starter for Shrek IV, after which it toured the festivals around the world.
