This was my first short film after working in television for years. I was thrilled to have made a true 35mm celluloid film! I felt like a true filmmaker!
Nominated best short film and best sound design at the Holland Film Meeting 2004. It got a special mention at the 55th International Filmfestspiele in Berlin and won first prize at the International Festival of animationfilms Bimini in Latvia. At the International Animated Film Festival in Annecy Vent was prizewinning again: the Fipresci award. The Kyoto Kinder Film Fest awarded Vent with the Grand Prix for best short film and at Espinho Filmfestival it won for best soundtrack. In Neum, Bosnia Hercegovina, Vent wins the award for best music and, last but not least, it won the award for best animation in Taiwan. Oh yeah, it also played at Centre Pompidou, Paris!
